Driving change: increasing women’s golf confidence

At Belgravia Golf Management, our teams are committed to supporting the growing demand for inclusive and beginner-friendly women’s golf opportunities that help women build confidence, develop skills and create meaningful community connections.

With women now representing 42 per cent of all golfers nationally and accounting for 60 per cent of new golfers who have taken up the sport in the past two years (Golf Australia), there has never been a better time to get involved in the sport.

Jess Boyce, WPGA Professional and Golf Coach and Emma Pearce, PGA Associate, deliver women’s programs at Yarrambat Park Golf Course & Geelong Golf Club.

Jess has delivered the MyGolf Program for two years. She said:

“Our women’s golf clinics aim to help women build their golf skills, confidence and create meaningful community connections in a welcoming, supportive and social environment.

Jess said dedicated programs give women and girls the opportunity to try golf, whether they are picking up a club for the first time and learning fundamental skills or returning to the game after some time away.

“By offering beginner-friendly programs, family-friendly facilities and more opportunities to play, we can make golf more accessible and enjoyable for women of all ages.”

Emma delivers the Ladies Beginner Get into Golf Program. She added:

“The most rewarding thing about teaching women’s golf is having students come back and tell me they have seen their game improve. I love seeing their passion, enthusiasm and excitement grow each week.”

Leading the future of women’s golf

Belgravia Golf Management believes growing confidence and access to opportunities is key to strengthening the future of golf for women and girls.

Belgravia Golf Management’s National Golf Programs Manager Jack McDonald said:

“Our programs are designed to include people of all ages and abilities, removing barriers to participation by creating welcoming environments.

“By providing accessible golf opportunities and clear participation pathways, we can help more women discover the physical, mental and social benefits of golf while building lifelong connections to the game.”

Belgravia Golf Management is focusing on women’s golf participation by supporting:
